Kuruma Prawn that we sell is produced by one of the largest prawn farmers in the Japanese aquaculture Industry. The producer owns a couple of farms in Chiran of Minamikyushu City, Yakushima Island, and Tanegashima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture. In Japan, Kuruma Prawn is mainly used in high-class restaurants and hotels, but due to the COVID-19, people don’t go eat out so that the producer is facing a sales loss.
To expand new market, we held a sales event supported by Japanese government.
We have sold fried Kuruma Prawn at Food truck in Kagoshima for four days.
Local people enjoyed eating Kuruma prawn and we got a lot of new fans.
We hope all will be fine soon and people enjoy Kuruma Prawn at restaurants and hotels as before.
